Shipping Information & Rates

Shipping costs are based on weight and shipping zone. Our standard practice is to ship USPS Priority (2–3 day). If you have any questions about shipping, please call the shop for additional information — 833-793-3871. We make every effort to ship your order within 48 hours in cool weather.  In hot weather, additional care is needed for shipping the chocolates. A 'Special Handling' fee may apply.

October through April

We use Priority USPS unless the destination is unseasonably hot, in which case we may ship with Fed Ex 2 day, USPS Express overnight, or UPS. In hot weather, special packaging is required and may require an additional fee.

May through September

Special hot weather packaging will be used and a $6.50 fee may be added to the shipping cost. Our practice is to ship on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Orders received after 12:00 noon on Wednesday and later will be shipped the following Monday. We can only ship on Wednesday if we can be assured of a Friday delivery, or someone can accept the delivery on a Saturday. If the weather is unseasonably hot (over 95°) we may need to ship OVERNIGHT and will contact you if additional cost is involved prior to shipping.

In the case of hot weather, we recommend having someone sign for the shipment. Exposing the chocolate to extended periods of hot weather may damage the chocolate. In some cases, we can request your package to be held at the post office for pick-up or sent to a work place.

Express Orders

If you need the chocolates quickly you can choose overnight shipping. Mention this in "special instructions" or call 833-793-3871 to confirm the overnight shipping. Expedited shipping options will be available to select at check out.

IMPORTANT

Cowgirl Chocolates are made from premium chocolate with no additives or preservatives and will begin to soften at 76 degrees. Please arrange to be at home at delivery time so the chocolates are not exposed to the sun for extended amounts of time. Many customers ship to their place of work. Although we cold-pack chocolates for hot weather shipping, leaving the package in the sun can damage the chocolate.

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

Shipping

We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Cowgirl Chocolates has shipped all over the world. Due to the nature of the delicate chocolate, A special shipper of our choosing may be required. Many factors effect our International shipments: weather, heat, season, time of year, and costs. We will do our best to select the most economical transport possible for your order. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to International Destinations.

When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.

Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.
